About the hosts

Dave Ertmer is a graduate of Western Illinois University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He also earned his Master of Arts degree from Western Illinois University, as well as the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter, Associate in Claims, and Associate in Management insurance designations. Dave has more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry. He joined West Bend in 2009 after working for General Casualty Insurance for 15 years in various leadership roles. He is currently senior vice president – claims for West Bend Mutual Insurance. One of his major responsibilities is leading the company’s innovation efforts. Dave also serves in various nonprofit leadership roles in Southeast Wisconsin.

Mike Cummings is a Principal with Aon Inpoint Claims practice. He has over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry working in auto physical damage (APD), property, casualty, workers’ compensation, litigation management, claims quality improvement, operations management, technology research and claims system implementations. Most recently Mike has directed Aon Inpoint’s research on InsurTech solutions for the P&C marketplace to enhance claims operations, customer service and communication. Mike leads the development of the Claims Signal Platform product for Aon Inpoint Claims.
