Job Overview

Our company is looking for an outstanding leader for our Risk Intelligence business unit. This position will report directly to the CEO and will oversee and manage strategic objectives with a focus on growth for this business unit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and drive the strategic vision for the business unit, aligning growth initiatives with company-wide objectives. Set short- & long-term sales strategies with the CEO & team; execute on said strategies
  • Provide regular updates to the CEO, Board, and Executive Leadership Team on performance, forecasts, and strategic initiatives
  • Represent the company in key customer, partner, and/or investor discussions
  • Identify & cultivate relationships with new channel partners; strategically manage & help grow existing channel relationships
  • Manage success metrics & performance objectives with channels related to financial targets, product offerings & other important milestones to measure relationship success over time
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts to develop the necessary materials for successful channel & new market sales
  • Collaborate with Product to provide market feedback on existing and future data and software solutions to ensure broad market needs are being considered in the product development & enhancement cycle
  • Manage & report on opportunity pipeline development both inside & outside of the CRM system
  • Evaluate and pursue new market segments, geographies, and product commercialization opportunities. Monitor competitive landscape and industry trends to inform positioning and growth strategies
  • Develop annual operating plans, revenue forecasts, and budget strategies for the business unit
  • In conjunction with Finance, optimize pricing, unit economics, and margin performance
  • Monitor KPIs as well as quarterly and annual goals, and adjust execution plans based on insights and performance trends
  • Lead cross-functional alignment across Sales, Marketing, Tech, and Product, including other teams like Operations and Finance as needed
  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing organization focused on growth, including hiring, coaching, and succession planning

Requirements

  • Must have 5+ years’ experience & successful track record with strategic and/or channel sales related to data or SaaS solutions, as well as services, and a similar level of experience in a senior leadership role
  • Experience working with both Commercial and Federal markets, and with conceptual selling across a diverse product and capabilities portfolio
  • Strong aptitude for science and technology, including technical developments and industry advancements in AI, LLMs, and emerging novel business applications therein. Meteorology, geospatial (GIS), or insurance experience is a bonus!
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Strong personal skills with the ability to build & maintain relationships
  • Excellent communication & organizational skills
  • Experience with CRM platforms (HubSpot preferred)
  • Self-motivated & goal-oriented
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time for quarterly Board meetings, and to meet with customers and/or prospective customers when needed
  • Comfortable using web-based systems (such as Microsoft Teams) to communicate
  • Sense of humor, enthusiasm, and willingness to be part of a dynamic team!
