Business Development Representative

Athenium Analytics is seeking a highly motivated results-driven Business Development Representative with good interpersonal skills to join our sales team. Qualified candidates will have excellent communication skills, be highly competitive and financially motivated.

Key responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Pursue and qualify prospective clients to achieve company sales goals, which includes:
    • Creating business opportunities by identifying and profiling prospective clients, evaluating their position in the industry, and engaging with them to understand their needs
    • Speaking to our product value propositions
    • Brainstorming outreach campaign strategies with Sales & Marketing; build prospect lists for various campaigns
    • Utilizing lead lists, customer lists, and other marketplace information to properly triage potential leads generated from both inbound and outbound marketing activities
    • Responding in time-efficient, thoughtful fashion to new prospect inquiries
    • Attending initial sales calls with prospects & documenting results in the CRM for sales handoff
  • Draft & manage email outreach scripts; ensure messaging is consistent with other Company brand awareness principles, values & talking points
  • Own weekly sales pipeline reporting & provide updates to sales executives on the status of the sales pipeline
  • Own and execute on quarterly lead generation goals
  • Contribute, with Marketing & Product, to the development of new product materials & collateral
  • The exciting/dreaded “other duties as assigned”

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related field
  • 2+ Years B-2-B sales or Business Development experience
  • Track record of excellent performance metrics & successful sales
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong decision-making abilities
  • Strong interest in science & technology
  • Familiarity with CRM management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Insurance industry background a plus

Work location

This is a Full-Time role that will ideally be based in Dover, NH.  Remote work will be considered.
