We were founded on the premise that companies shouldn’t have to choose between speed and accuracy when making their most important decisions. Our primary industries are insurance, construction, agriculture, and finance. Leveraging big data, cutting-edge artificial intelligence and market-driven insights, our products help organizational leadership identify and understand risk to make smarter, faster decisions.
We are a group of scientists, technologists, and business leaders dedicated to helping businesses solve their most pressing challenges. We leverage our data science and meteorology expertise to produce actionable insights using big data, machine learning and predictive analytics. Both public and private organizations rely on our tools every day to produce data they can trust to make smarter decisions and protect their bottom lines.
Weather Analytics LLC, a predecessor company to Athenium Analytics, was founded to create decision-support tools with a vast collection of atmospheric, weather and topographical data.
Weather Analytics acquires Athenium Inc., the market leader in quality assurance software, to form Athenium Analytics. As a combined company, we offer a robust suite of risk management tools for claims, underwriting and quality assurance.
Our software is trusted by 26 of the top 100 insurance carriers, several Fortune 100 companies and members of the U.S. Intelligence community.
In 2012, Weather Analytics, LLC, began creating decision-support tools using a vast proprietary database of atmospheric, weather and topographical information. Our cutting-edge technologies soon attracted the attention of outside investors, including In-Q-Tel, a private venture fund serving the U.S. Defense & Intelligence community. Subsequent funding rounds brought in two of the world’s most respected insurance carriers: TokioMarine HCC and W.R. Berkley Corporation.
Weather Analytics continued to grow an innovative product suite, introducing Gauge risk-scoring for underwriters, Dexter post-event weather verification, and Beacon forecast alerts. It also developed a cutting-edge computer vision tool, IRIS, that uses aerial imagery and machine learning to help insurers review property condition and risk attributes with ease.
In 2018, Weather Analytics acquired Athenium Inc., and Athenium Analytics was born. Athenium, Inc., boasted more than 15 years of insurance-industry expertise, and its flagship teamthink software is the market leading quality-assurance software for large insurance carriers.
Within the insurance industry, our primary strategic focus, we offer a robust suite of claims, underwriting, QA and risk management tools that help carriers increase efficiency and mitigate risk. Today, our software is trusted by 26 of the top 100 property & casualty insurance carriers, across many diverse business lines. Other clients include members of the Fortune 100 and the U.S. Intelligence community.
